Liz Truss has just resigned as Prime Minister after 45 days.

What the absolute fuck.

ETA Backstory: There's been so much happening over the past month, it's been really hard to keep track of it all. I'll try and sum it up to provide some understanding of how it's come to this point.
- 23 Sept: Chancellor of the Exchequer Kwasi Kwarteng announces a mini budget with some major tax cuts. The markets are sent into turmoil.
- 26 Sept: The value of the pound hits an all time low. The Bank of England has to step in to assist.
- 14 Oct: Kwasi Kwarteng sacked as Chancellor. Jeremy Hunt is the new Chancellor.
- 17 Oct: Jeremy Hunt reverses most of the decisions of the mini budget. However, he also announces that the energy cap will end in April. The markets can't decide if this is a good thing or not and continue to fluctuate. There are rumours that Liz Truss is hiding under her desk.
- early 19 Oct: Home Secretary Suella Braverman resigns after 6 weeks. One of Liz Truss' advisors was suspended.
- evening of 19 Oct: a vote on fracking descends into chaos. Rumours say that it was being treated as a test of loyalty in the PM and government. Tory MPs were told that they must vote with the government. Reports of a massive row in the lobby with the whips screaming at MPs and physically dragging them to vote with the government and not with Labour. Further rumours of resignations.
- early 20 Oct: MPs started calling for Liz Truss to resign.
