Date for the diary

We have a date for the new King's coronation! Saturday, 6th May, 2023. There's no information yet as to whether there's going to be a bank holiday for it. The Monday before is the May Day bank holiday so I suppose that might get moved to the Friday or the Monday after to make it a long weekend. It would be nice to have an extra bank holiday

I still think that's quite a long wait.

There's a huge amount of things to get ready, I believe so I'm not sure it's long enough. All of the ceremony needs to be arranged, hymns selected, choirs practised, speakers decided upon, Abbey decorated, road closures arranged, procession arranged, coaches and things made road worthy, participants in the ceremony decided upon, outfits made for all of the people involved, particularly Coronation gowns for Charles and Camilla, and invitations sent to all the guests. In under 7 months!
