The other day, I was reminded that I hadn't actually been to the dentist in a long time; so I called them today, and found out that the last time I'd been round for a checkup had been in March 2004. Huh. So now I've got an appointment for Feb 11th.

Hmm - I think if I was your sister I would be much happier with an MP3 player than an ironing board, too!

Good luck at the dentist - my teeth are at least not painful any more!

It's just that I couldn't think what to get her that she could use...then I remembered that she hasn't had an ironing board for years, but instead uses the dining room table. She had a house fire some years ago; an ironing board wasn't high on the list of replacement furniture needed, apparently.

But then I bethought myself that it might be a devilishly tricky thing to wrap, and abandoned the idea. I'm glad I gave her something she could get excited about instead.

There are some clothes I haven't even worn yet, and now I never will...But it's also the perfect excuse to go shopping for new stuff in Oxford St next week!

Did you enter that competition for Storys tickets I Imd you the link to? Closing date is 1 Nov. It is a cheap gig - but nothing is cheaper than free.
