One of my back molars became wobbly and then fell out. The resulting hole was wide open and I was choking on my blood. I'm sitting in a very hot internet cafe in Siem Reap, waiting for my parents on Skype because my mum has requested that I let her open my birthday cards and read them to me. I have been away for 11 weeks now and have kept a list of books I've read. It doesn't seem that many but considering I can't read on buses without puking I'm doing ok. We're trying to avoid spending money on books, used or new, by trading the ones we've read whenever we find bookshelves in guesthouses or cafes, but the choice is often pretty dire. ( Read more... )
