So this has been making the rounds of fandom: Your Friends Are Not Watching the Same Show You Are (And That's Okay)For me, at least, this rang very true. I often react to shows in a radically different way from my friends and from the rest of fandom, and I was glad to see someone speak to that in the blogosphere. For example, here are some shows ( Read more... )

"the pointless conflict between brothers show" aka "the unusually hot TA dating a professor show having very minor relationship problems that could be resolved in 5 minuets" (otherwise known as Numb3rs)

I've been watching a whole lot of the "Adventures of Bubbles" show, aka "Lester Freamon is a Genius", also known as The Wire...

A longtime favorite is the "Underappreciated Beverly Crusher Show," which some call Star Trek TNG.

I gave up on the "Let's All Ogle Starbuck Show," because I felt it was turning into the "How A Government Works (Without Starbuck) Show".

I would be watching the "Zhaan The Alien Sociopath" show, but the files won't play...

You should give that another shot. Yeah, there's a lot less Starbuck, but Roslin has come into her own and that more than makes up for it IMHO.

I've been enjoying the post-writer's strike resurgence of such shows as The Big Bang Theory, Two-and-a-Half-Men, Samantha Who?, Bones, House, 30 Rock, Boston Legal et al. Plus cating up on Buffy Season 6 and BSG season 3 on DVD.

No, I don't watch enough tv...

I've been watching...oh, right, I don't have cable anymore.

I've been reading "The Riddler Is The Universe's Bitch and I Love It Too Much", though...(and writing it, too. Sorry, Eddums!) And, thanks to scans_daily, I've caught a glimpse or two of DC's latest crossover epic, "The Universe Is Falling Apart Again - Maybe If We Let People Stay Dead, Reality Wouldn't Fracture So Much!"

Oh, wait, no, I've broken out the DVDs recently! If those count, then I've also been tuned in to the "Arnold J. Rimmer Humiliation Variety Show" (or, if you must, Red Dwarf) and the ever-popular "Wait, Aren't TV Shows Supposed To Have A Meaningful Ending?" (Aqua Teen Hunger Force/Space Ghost Coast to Coast/The Brak Show)

I still love LOST, but it is a bitter love. My friend Erica and I argue all the time over characters, and who deserved to die. I still hate Shannon, perhaps because she was a skinny blonde who used men to make money rather than getting a job, she did not deserve Sayid, my television husband. But I'm totally over it. Oh that and Eko dying. So not cool.

I totally agree with you on all of this. Sayid for president!
