I would just wonder that Jack Thompson would ever post here. He won't accept anyone's forgiveness, how sad.

Jack is of the opinion that you (and the rest of us) are the ones who ought to be mewling for forgiveness. Posting here is his way of "proving us wrong". It's the way with most crusaders - they are incapable of even viewing the opponent's argument in a neutral state of mind. The opponent is against them, therefore, they must be wrong.

Imitation of Jack... mr_putter March 31 2006, 12:54:34 UTC
Before the imitation... First post! Yipee! ^_^
And now how Jack will react...
"This story is totally false and defamatory. Kids are still getting these M-rated games. All you gamers here think this is the truth, which is a byproduct of your brain being fried by video games. Now if you'll excuse me, I have to go think up stupid arguments to refute this story. And if you don't take down this false story, I will sue every member of this website." Jack Thompson, egomaniacal POC lawyer.
What do you think?

A 65% success rate is still a "D" in most places. Raising your success rate from abysmal to marginally passing isn't a reason to click your heels in joy. There's still a lot of work to be done.

That fact that it was a mere 15% 6 years ago is a reason to celebrate.

It's a common practice that retailers undertake to make sure the people at the bottom are doing what corporate policy dictates. They usually have a list of things the employee is supposed to do such as greeting a customer when they come in the door, asking if they need assistance, possess the required product knowledge, upselling items at the register, and so forth. In this case it's not the retail company doing the testing, and the criteria is different (to wit: carding minors trying to purchase M rated games).

I used to be able to spot them a mile off when I worked retail.

Looks like the industry may have all the anti gamers beat shortly. With this validation by the FTC, we now have evidance that the self regulation efforts of the game industry are rapidly improving. However, I do have a question ( ... )
