Sad day, but a good day toyukimurasanadaFebruary 22 2006, 11:52:37 UTC
Though I am saddened to hear about Chips passing, as konami has been and still is one of my favorite game companies, I am exstatic to see posistive news again. Though I'm stunned that anyone in rockstar got named, I must agree, Sam Houser earns that title. That being said, Big ups to doug, big ups to Mr. spencer, and a big HOOAH to the noticably absent Mr thompson.
Its fight time, lets get out of the corner ESA and the industry and start landing some haymakers on these clowns.
With Spencer leading the way, doug running the show, I think we'll continue to do what we've done in the past. Beat this shit in court and keep it where it belongs. The garbage can.
I'm glad to see that the industry is finally getting a lobbyist to talk to the politicians in Washington. It is something that has been very sorely needed. And as for the tidbit about Twinkle the Litigation Fairy from Miami, all I can really say roflmfao.
Where are they now ... ?verbinatorFebruary 22 2006, 12:45:01 UTC
Sort of sad that so many of these people are suits or "biz" people, and have nothing to actually do with the games. Notably missing are the young men and women who were supposed to be the next rockstars of gaming, who would be shaping it's future. Where is American McGee, Stevie "Killcreek" Case, Cliff "Cliffy B" Bleszinski, and so on? Or the game programmers whose names were as gods amongst the true fans. Of course, because it is the Wall Street Journal the article would likely have a biz focus ... but blegh.
