Good thing this guy apparently stands no chance of getting elected.

"... putting certain dangerous actions and dangerous products out of the reach of children thereby keeping our most precious blood-our children out of 'HARMS WAY.'"

What an idiot. Tax the shit out of alcohol, tobacco, and firearms if you're really looking to protect children. Just one of those things kills far more people in one week than than fried foods, soda, and violent games COMBINED do in an entire year.

But Remember Parents are not capable today of making choices for their children on what is appropriate and not appropriate for their child.*start sarcasm* why they need to work a job and they cant take 2 minutes of their time to care for the child now thats just plain crazy! *end sarcasm*

i've basically realized and accepted that there are so many morons in this world that we will always be stuck with them

I think the only reason why he is proposing this is because Texas is too big for people to drive across state lines. Probably the same reason why Quebec gets away with a 15% sales tax.

Alaska is way bigger than Texas and we don't have a state sales tax.

Maybe Alaska should implement a state sales tax. Perhaps then Senator Ted Stevens can get his bridge.

No, but Wassila has a city sales tax, and if they tag it onto an appealing enough bill, Anchorage isn't far behind.

Good to see another Alaskan gamer on here!

Whiskey tango foxtrot, over? This guy is amazing. I'm waiting for him to propose a ban on alcohol and tobacco...

This Locke character is the reason we still need vigilante mobs.

OHWAIT. Sorry. It's pixelante now, isn't it?

Although, wouldn't a tax on all beverages that have added sucrose/glucose/fructose (as stated on his website) apply to tobacco as well? I threw away my beer bottles, or I'd look at the labels.

Beer does contain sugars, but those are essential in making it. They aren't added.
