Title: Give Me An Inch Characters: Peter, Sylar Words: 500 Rating: PG Warnings: None Setting: The Wall Summary: Peter gives Sylar a little coaching on how to get him in the mood.
Yeah, there's a conflict between Peter choosing EMT (which is a front-line hero) and not doctor (who has more prestige and power), if my theory is that he is as power-hungry as Arthur and Nathan (or Angela, for that matter). All I can explain that with is the rebellion angle - his father would have approved of him being a doctor. I think Peter sought out something that would be objectionable to his dad and yet still fulfilled as many of Peter's needs as possible

You also mentioned another thing I'd thought of (at some point). "The power and prestige had its perks, but they weren't the important things about the identity, any more than abilities defined who Sylar was. That last was something that had taken Sylar years to work out

About the strength/bulk thing, I'm not totally sure myself. My trainer says big muscles come from high weights and low reps. Actual strength and the ability to repeat that strength over a long period comes from low weights and high reps. I've asked what 'toning' and 'sculpting' means, but I haven't received a satisfactory answer. I'm going to lose some more weight and perhaps I will look 'toned' or 'sculpted' after that.
Peter was not trolling for a BJ there in the weight room. He was basking in the attention, totally feeling good about himself, being thrilled that Sylar was listening to him and had asked his advice, and being very caught up in the idea that he might be able to say something helpful and useful to Sylar. Not that he didn't want a blowjob, but he was busy receiving a much more metaphorical one.
Thank you so much for all your kind comments! I love them!
I'm pretty sure you've said something in MBU about the Boy Scouts and perverted possibilities, so I don't claim that as original. I don't think Peter would be an Eagle Scout, either. It's quite a commitment in terms of family time and scheduling, but if you think of it as canon, I can roll with it just fine. I'll just make sure Peter has a few more outdoorsy skills than I would have otherwise. I think the only canon reference to it is Sylar referencing Peter as the Italian Eagle Scout sarcastically to Matt Parkman. I think it was while they were in the airport and Matt was foiling Sylar's plans to reunite with his body.
I can't wait until the guys get to carnal knowledge of one another in MBU.
