Here's the rewatch comment thread for
Thanksgiving, an episode that ranks in my top five. I'm so excited!

It was after Brother's Keeper than I wrote 'Am I Still Nathan Petrelli?' (and somehow managed to churn out a 30K word fic in a week!). Then after Thanksgiving I began on what became Shattered Salvation. That was 'easier' because Thanksgiving preceded a long break over the holidays. They didn't start airing new episodes until January, by which I was well into the story.
And ... my Netflix is giving me fits. ::sigh:: Netflix: "We're having trouble playing this title right now. Please try back later or pick a different title." Grr.
Okay, I'm trying again and this time it's loading.
And to think, my primary ship back when I first watched this was Peter/Nathan. I totally couldn't see Peter/Sylar. Sythan was my gateway drug. :D

I thought that too. It looks like a red carpet pic or something shot right before an interview or something.
"Rented out to you" Umm...how do you know that? And why would Angela be so dumb as to have that traced back to her using her name? Peter assumes it's Angela's.
I figured that they were assuming it was hers after talking to Rene and him pretty much telling them that Angela was responsible for a lot of what was happening.
FASCINATING that Peter doesn't step in there, to protect his mom. It's physical harm, not just a verbal argument. He's told Nathan to freaking leave in S1 when he was being a dick, but now...Peter doesn't care a whole lot.I noticed he wasn't leaping to her defense but I thought his expression suggested that he cared. He's just conflicted because he's ( ... )

I was wondering about that, too. I wonder if he was actually stalking her. You know, got bored and lonely one night and got to thinking about the 'one who got away', the woman he'd passed on when he had a shot, and looked her up. Then started literally stalking her. I just ... I kind of wonder if that's what he was doing there. It might be Noah's idea of dating. Bag and tag, extended version.

Peter assumes it's Angela's.If I had to deal with that line as canon when I was writing fanon, then I would say that it was rented out through a shell company or false identity that Peter was familiar with because he's part of the family. The same way I know the ( ... )

For a guy suffering from a lethal brain tumor, Hiro seems fine. Hiro ought to chop off a few of Samuel's toes. He can still tell him where Charlie is without those.
What was Lauren's picture doing on his cell phone? You're not trying to say that was his wallpaper? Was he really stalking her? Why? Is that his idea of how to date? Because actually, that seems pretty IC.
Oooo! Squee! Sythan! And creepy Peter watching him sleep. And creepy Sythan gripping the bottle like he's going to hit someone. Angela is so out of touch with what's going on with her kids. "Saw Nathan's dead body." Ah! Suddenly the emphasis dawns on me! Nathan's dead body as opposed to his live body, the one he's in *now*. Ah, so Peter still thinks that's Nathan, even now? I thought he did, but this is just a bit more evidence of that ( ... )

Yes to all this!

I think he had it set to pull up her pic when he called her. I thought he was trying to get up the guts to call her when he bumped into her. He's totally stalking her though. He's been taking dating tips from Stephanie Meyer.

Why would Sandra and her boyfriend even have dinner with Noah without Claire there? That's just so much awkward.
Good point! That would be really weird. Sort of like how off-putting I find it for my ex to invite me along to go to movies with him and the kids. I'm left thinking, 'Dude, what part of 'I want a divorce' did you not understand?'
Peter staring at him and looking like he's probably been there all night. I can't help but to wonder if there's a part of him that is nervous about sleeping with Nathan!Sylar in the apartment with him. There's so much going on in that moment without anyone even saying anything.
So true, all of this! I'll bet he's nervous! Partly out of fear/concern that Sylar might off him, but I think the main fear would be that Sythan would leave while Peter was asleep and Peter might lose Nathan because he took a nap.

::takes notes::
"Nathan, would you please say grace?" "No."
I think I laugh out loud every time I see that scene.
Peter takes this...so well, I don't get it. Your mom just confessed to your greatest fear - your brother is in fact dead. I suppose he's still doing his optimism thing of 'oh, I can save him, Nathan's still alive in there thing' so reality doesn't hit him. That makes sense. But he's teary-eyed and his lip his quivering.I think Peter's in shock, still trying to process it, trying to figure it out. Because there, sort of, is his brother, sitting across the table from him. His brother with ... like ... Sylar's ... um ... not really sure what's going on there. But that might be Nathan. Looks like Nathan. Wanted Peter's help like Nathan. He's been dead all this time? Then who's that guy there who came to me for help? Who was having nightmares on my bed last night? Who hugged me? Who carried me out of Matt's hospital ( ... )
