Anyone buy a PS3?
I wonder if my brother did... he's been incommunicundo lately, so it's possible he camped out to get the new system. But... I think I prefer the Nintendo Wii >D
On Tuesday I went to the Nintendo Wii pre-release play event, which started with a press conference followed by public play and a chance to win a Wii in a draw. (
wii play! )

If it's a FF game you want, wait for a ps3 and get ff13. If not, just buy what else you got interests for.

I miss the old school FF. I am totally looking forward to FFXIII.
I luv FF9.

FYI tho, FFXIII actually comes in 3 parts, as in 3 seperate games, one for mobile phones or so I'v heard. So not all parts of the game can be played on PS3. Bit of a bummer.

New flashy thing .... here's to gold points! Just waiting to see what Apple comes out with for the next rev of the iPod and/or iPhone and then make the choice of Apple or not [rubs hands together]

If the next rev of the iPod/Phone/Video has a serious design overhaul, then maybe I'll be interested. I don't like the design at all, and while the spin wheel is neat - it's not as ergo as it could be (not 3D, circular thumb movement has depth). It's all marketing and culture.

Pretty much everything you can imagine has been speculated on, that's another reason I'm waiting to see as well. Apple has filed for some patents where the UI is just a touchscreen, no click/scroll wheel at all.
What I'm really interested to see (particularly after the ROCKR disaster) is Apple's take on a mobile device ... I'm thinking shades of Newton mixed with 3G smartphones ... But that could be me dreaming .... ;-)
As to the marketing and culture ... that is part of it, but the larger part is that it all just works. As in for my parents and sister, 5 minutes and it works for them. It's that "good enough" / "easy enough to use" for a massive part of the population that gives them the sales of devices.

Raving Rabbids was awesome to play XD It's all about the stupidly fun mini games like Warioware! The ones I got to try were launching the rabbid out a cannon (charge up by 'drumming' controller+remote), rabbid beats (think DDR but with controller+remote movement for 'steps') and pulling teeth-worms LOL. So much fun!!!
