Tears indeed! Have you been to Farmstead in Wayland Square yet? Maybe I should rephrase that - you probably shouldn't go to Farmstead in Wayland Square. But they do have a restaurant and the portions on the cheese plate are tiny (if you get a 3-cheese plate you probably get 1 ounce total), so it might be safe ;)

Those cheese shop photos are amazing.

I do know the place and have walked by it a number of times and examined their interesting menu. I may lunch there one of these days. The key is moderation, not total abstinence.

You should! They certainly know their cheese. And the restaurant has an interesting beer selection as well, if you like beer.

I'm still not sure whether I prefer dolcelatte or gorgonzola...

I know a girl named Megan
who is by choice a vegan.
If she becomes a carnivore,
should we rename her Megarnivore?

Holy damn, do I ever love cheese. And your mentioning of Brie now has me craving baked brie with apples and/or Triscuits. *drool*

Italians often have sliced fresh pears with Provolone slices. Hearty cheeses go well with pears.
