Speaking of science - I highly recommend the TV series MythBusters on Discovery channel.
They take all sorts of urban legends, and test them in a scientific way. Usually while blowing stuff up (here are some sample vidoes).
going over the episode guide, it seems that i've missed too many episodes. Should start downloading.
