On 1: Awww... You're missing out on a lot. I know a lot of really sweet snakes out there =D ahha. Of course, this is coming from the girl who loves rats too.
You know that my DH refers to you as "rat girl", right? He's the one that picked up the stuffed "detergent" for me...
I completely agree...it's not nearly as much fun when the only books you've got on the go are schoolbooks... but I usually managed some pleasure reading even when I was a student.
I always have several books going at time. But if I stop a book, it's rare that I will actually pick it back up.....
And I feel your hair pain. I have short hair (only slightly longer than in your icon). Last winter, I tried to grow it out....It was bad. The hair got a little more curl and wave to it, but it was not pretty. I chopped it all off some months ago.
I'm usually pretty stubborn about finishing books...with only a few exceptions, like the Hobbit, which I started around the time the first LOTR movie came out, and I'm still on about page 99...not even sure where the book even is at this point.
The last time I had longish hair was for my wedding...5 years ago. It's been variations on short ever since. One of my problems with it is that it's very fine, so it doesn't always look good longer, and it also gets wavy (but not in a good way) when it's longer, particularly in humid weather. Every once in a while, I'm tempted to just shave it all off (or buzz cut so I don't have the itchy regrowing stage you get from shaving it right off...)
1. Whenever I think I'll dye my hair a drastic new colour, I somehow manage to dye it the exact same colour it was before.
2. I have khaki eyes.
3. I have a weird collection of fishy things all because of Schmuckbaum.
4. It's possible that I know every line of dialogue in the movie The Princess Bride.
5. My dog is trained to use a litter box, but I ran out of patience to train her to do anything else so she's incorrigible but pees where she's supposed to.
6. In a conservative estimate I've moved 19 times in my life.
