Sam should have been used to this by now, she decided as she drifted awake, tangled with Kara. Not that she wanted to get used to waking up in the infirmary. Kara's distressing tendency to end up there should probably have worried her. But Sam found herself distracted with the sure knowledge that Kara was alive and tangled in her arms

Kara woke up and hissed. Frak, she got herself beat up again.

"Hey. " Sam rubbed a hand down Kara's side. "Try not to move yet, you're all black and blue."

"No shit," Kara groaned and concentrated on Sam's touch.

Sam chuckled and moved to kiss Kara's nose.
