Sam should have been used to this by now, she decided as she drifted awake, tangled with Kara. Not that she wanted to get used to waking up in the infirmary. Kara's distressing tendency to end up there should probably have worried her. But Sam found herself distracted with the sure knowledge that Kara was alive and tangled in her arms.
Tightening her grip, she breathed in, smelling sweat and dirt and Kara. The visceral data made her smile and relax slightly.
Kara was back. Hurt, but alive.
She could settle for that, now.
