The Hopper Room

Jan 16, 2010 20:37

There's a room here that they call the "hopper room." According to one of the CNAs, it contains two large bins into which they throw dirty laundry and garbage, respectively. It also contains a big sink with a high pressure sprayer that they use for "cleaning poop off clothing" (I think that's how she put it).

Think of the room as a virtual hopper, holding stuff "to be processed".

You really should read my posts at Facebook so you can see the comments there. An old friend posted this link: http://news.google.com/patents?id=v5NqAAAAEBAJ&printsec=description&zoom=4#v=onepage&q=&f=false

The problem with your link is that there isn't (as far as I know) any chute, just bins. Most of the definitions I found were like yours, but nothing seemed to fit.

You don't know that they never had a real hopper. Alternatively, someone may have just been thinking abstractly. I seem to recall an old expression "It's in the hopper" for anything that is pending.

Speaking of high pressure hoses for cleaning shit off of things, every bathroom in Malaysia has one (more like medium pressure) hanging on the wall next to the toilet, and they're awesome! Toilet paper is just for drying off. I'm seriously thinking of buying a hose to take home. They look like they'd be easy to patch into the line that supplies clean water to the toilet tank. Amy thinks I'm mental, but the downstairs bathroom is mine, so ni. I'll buy a second one for when she changes her mind.

I think there are bidet kits that include a bottle for water with a small hose that somehow gets put under the toilet seat. I'm not sure how it works, but look at amplestuff.com, a site where they sell stuff for fat people. They have a few there. There might be better kits somewhere else though.
