Remember that site I linked to last week, "Texts from Last Life"? The spoof of "Texts from Last Night" except with historical figures, because my friends and I are big nerds with weird senses of humor? Well, it seems to be taking off rather well, but we're always looking for new people to submit things. Here is the latest one I did:
A bunch of us were sitting around last night drinking (that's how so many good stories begin) and we were talking about the website Texts from Last Night. We were saying, oh how funny it would be if there was a website like this, except for historical characters.
I got a Valentine's Day card from my dad today. It's clearly intended for a little girl; it's decorated in splashy, pastel-bordering-on-neon colors, complete with glittery rainbows and flowers. It seems unfair, somehow, that the new intriguing Roald Dahl book-turned-movie "Fantastic Mr. Fox" directed by Wes Anderson (of "Rushmore" and "The Royal Tennenbaums" fame) gets a 92% on Rotten Tomatoes and only makes $7 million, while a travesty like the second "Twilight" movie only rates a 29% and has made more that $42 million.*sigh

I have been an advocate of Zicam for a number of years now. I have sworn it reduces the duration of my colds, recommended it to my friends, and claimed I have never had a really nasty cold since I started using it.
