Stream of Consciousness, Epi 11.19

May 01, 2016 13:17

You guys. I need a minder. Seriously. I have been so swamped with work, I totally forgot our show came back this week. Thank goodness for my friend ThruTerrysEyes casually mentioning something about the baddie in this latest one or I might have missed it all together. I'm sorry about another late one. In any case, if any of you are still interested, here is ( Read more... )

Totally agree they've overused the 'Sam coaxing Dean to a hunt' start this season...

I confess I was yelling "Don't split up!" at the screen several times...

I was, frankly, stunned that both Cesar and Jesse survived!!!

Decent episode, just 'bwah' for it's placement...

Typically, I'm a firm believer in the "nothing good happens when they split up" rule, but this time, I thought it was interesting to see Dean team with Cesar and Sam with Jesse. Since they never listen to us anyway when we yell at the screen, at least they mixed it up in an interesting way. :)

And I KNOW. I was totally waiting for Cesar to bite it and Jesse to have another tragedy in his life to cope with. SO glad that didn't happen.

I was yelling when Dean and Cesar split up in the woods and again in the mine!!!

But you're right, they never listen to us...

Ooooh. Yes, THAT I totally get. I was CONVINCED they were going to kill Cesar. When everyone walked away alive I was like, wait...what just happened? That was...was that a HAPPY ending?!

I enjoyed this one, I kind of agree with you about the seasons being less episodes but I love the MotW eps and it seems we have plenty of hiatus' - doubt I could cope with any more!

Although I enjoyed it I've actually only watched it once.

LOL Can't believe you forgot it was on!! You bad fan girl you ;)

I know, right? I feel shame. That should give you a sense of what my work life has been like lately. Something's gotta give, and it can't be SPN!

I was wondering what was going on. That happened to me once! Life can get in the way. I enjoyed the episode. Once it started, I realized it was a MoTW episode and just settled in for that. It was a scary monster too, and I am always amazed that they can still scare me. I didn't think it was odd that they wondered about a green eyed demon. They have seen so many demons with weird eyes, why not? I loved that they had a gay couple that was awesome and did not die. I thought that Cesar was going to get killed in the cave. I thought the episode morphed toward the end where it became much more about the hunters than the monster, and I loved that too ( ... )

For much of this season I have felt as if this were the last season. There is a sense of a circling back to the beginning. They have done so many call backs to the early episodes.

I know what you mean. I mentioned this thought of yours in my ramble for 11.20 because there are events there that feel like it would be nice bookends for the series...were it not for the fact that they signed on for season 12. So, yeah, I'm really not sure where they'll take us next year. I can pretty much bet we'll all be here for the ride. :)

Thanks for reading/commenting!

I'm with you on your thoughts on the episode. When you mentioned one of the hunters was an EMT, immediately I thought back to Virgil from your Brenna Stories ( she was certainly never a Mary Sue to me)! My problem with this season is that I thought it was about bring back people to help the Winchesters. Don't get me wrong, I loved the Safe House epi, and maybe we will get some help form Heaven. The epi last year of " The Bobby's are surly " ended with Bobby in trouble in Heaven. Can that be resolved for us? If the show won't do it will you? I want then to do a big call out for help. All the hunters they know. The one person I think could help them is Jesse from Season 5 " I Believe the Children are our future"! It was canon back then was that Jesse was the Anti- Christ, more powerful than Angels or Demons. He could maybe help kick Amare back to where ever she came from! Let's let Cas find him in Australia. It was said that he couldn't be found unless he wanted to be, but let's face it, after 11 years canon ain't what it use to be. ( ... )

When you mentioned one of the hunters was an EMT, immediately I thought back to Virgil from your Brenna Stories . HA! I love that you went there, too! :) *claps*

I kinda forgot about Jesse and the Anti-Christ angle. Now that I've seen 11.20, I can say they won't go there, but it was a good thought for how to defeat The Darkness.

Thank you for reading and commenting. :) Love hearing from you.
