Another great chapter, so much informtion. Insomnia has it's advantages. Brian may have lost his memorry, but not his priorities. Justn will have to take a firm stand with Gus....fire works ahead untl Gus loses his attitude that Justin is the evil ex. Brian isn't strong enough yet to handle the hostility and poor Gus doesn't know who to turn to. Any chance Carl, the ever calm and logical family rock could step in?. Only you know and I anxiously await the the next revelations.
Gus was probably taken aback when Brian lashed out at him when he woke up confused and seeking Justin. Its going to be hard for him to accept the usurper, Justin, being so needed by his father and being overlooked by his father.
Brian is certainly a handful! At least he doesn't have problems with his favorite pastime-that would have really upset him.
Hope Justin, and everyone else in this family, are able to cope and find the extraordinary patience and strength needed while Brian recovers. Of course, with this group, it's probably going to be a very bumpy ride. Looking forward to the journey!
Awww. Brian is actually asking for what he needs. TBI and the emotional openness it brings it maybe going to help the boys reframe their relationship, not that TBI is good by any stretch of the imagination. Gus is going to have to start seeing beyond his own needs if he is going to help his dad get better. Nice chapter.
With TBI emotions that are usually held in often get released. Brian, Mr. Control Freak, doesn't have that ability right now.
Gus is going to have to adjust -- so is everyone. But it's harder for Gus because he's a kid and used to thinking about himself first. But this isn't about him.
Justin being there is going to be a big help to Brian. But TBI can be a big problem, particularly when dealing with people who have a certain set of expectations for the patient.

“Then help me, Justin,” said Brian. “You’re the only one who can.”
(And is it wrong - and totally geeky - that I get a kick out of Brian paraphrasing a Star Wars quote?)
But pop culture reference or not, they were words that Justin has needed to hear for a long, long time.
And how could he resist them?
But how is he ever going to get over it if ... when? ... Brian gets control of that emotional part of his brain again?
And, of course, how is he going to deal with Gus in the meantime?
Poor Justin.
And, at the same time, lucky Justin. Because he's got another chance.
A real chance this time to prove something to Brian and to himself.
Am loving this one, Gael.
