Summer's over and I'm out of the condo and getting ready
for class. That means I'll have other responsibilities
besides the fic. And my presentation on AU fanfiction is
in November -- I'll be asking for your input, of course.

But what did Gus need? A father who wasn’t an asshole? A father who was - God forbid! - in a relationship? A family? But that couldn’t happen again. Could it? Lightning couldn’t strike again. He’d already been in love twice in his life and the fact that one of those times had worked for 10 years was already a fucking miracle. I cracked up reading the dialogue between Gus and Brian, one probing and calling bs, the other retreating in panic. Loved the happiness is a mustang line. Hope we get to meet the bitch Mavis and what she brings to the table for Lindsay.

at canon. Again and again, Brian does things against his self-interest
because he thinks it's better for Gus, and that includes letting Lindsay
and Mel go to Canada, which had to be the single most WTF moment
in a season of WTF moments.

No need to worry Gus about your Dad becoming a recluse or a creepy ghost; he'll be f*****g Justin's brains out in the loft. Don't think that will fit Gus' definition of happy though.
