I went back and read the past stories and I can't believe how likable Ron is!! Now I'm all worried he's sick :-/ can't wait to find out what happens next with Brian & Ron and how Justin plays into all this. So happy you've decided to post a new story!
Love this chapter, except for Ron's health. They make a great "3 amigos" family. Gus is adorable, and he inherited the bed head, smirk and manipulation genes, lol. Fuckin teenagers... Can't believe mine's almost 17.
Glad to see you updating so fast.
Nice photo on EW - of the Tony who did "Ghost." They airbrushed a few decades off him, which seems unnecessary on such a handsome guy. Oh well...I'm anxious to see his new AMC series.
One thing I never could have predicted back when Sue and I picked out Tony Goldwyn to "play" Ron was that ten years later he'd be the reigning sex symbol on TV! It's gobsmacking.
She's not giving him away. Gus is now a teenager and he's made a choice to live with his father. He's still Lindsay's son -- and Mel's as well. But the reality is that when kids get to be a certain age they make choices. Gus was not happy in Toronto and not getting along with Mavis, Lindsay's new partner. A smart, rambunctious, Kinney-sired teenager is not guaranteed to make your life peaceful. Brian and Ron can handle him -- Lindsay can't. Even in canon Lindsay isn't exactly the most steady, focused, and able person. She's scattered, ditzy, and very influenced by others. Is it too strange to imagine that Gus would run rings around her?
Loved ES, CC, CCII, all the more so since that story line is very rare, and you did it so well. Holding my breath and not feeling too optimistic for a happy Brian/Ron ending after the first two chapters. Can't help hoping though
