Poor Brian, trying again to connect with Joan. Glad he had Justin, Gus, and Charity with him so she could see the support and love Brian has. Love Justin's voice here, his confidence that he and Brian are together as solidly (if not more) than their friends. Love the chapter. Just sad it's (almost) over. Best story ever.
I can't believe it's done. This story has been a part of my life for such a long time. So much has happened to me since I first found it. I think it was the third chapter you were posting every day. I was to timid to even comment. My boys were in High school. They are grown and married with babies. :)
I have loved this story. All the twists and turns. I am glad that our boys really grew up. They have built a life together that works for them. Isn't that what we all hope for?
Thank you Gayle. It's been a fun ride. If I remember correctly is ther to be an epilouge?
It's really strange that it's over. As I've said before it makes me sad.
I love that I can stil hear Justin's age in all this. He's remain the way he is - life embracing, full of energy and - just himself. I also still have a hard time believeing everything between them is "fine", even though it feels that way, reading this. Just being reminded of Dylan and Ethan started a whole bunch of thoughts I've repressed, ha! That phase in the story was the worst for me somehow, the way Brian and Justin hurt themselves and each other in the process. Too much had happened.
Well, I'll miss it and am looking forward to the epilogue.
Brian has just turned 33 and Justin is only 21. When you think about it, they are both still very young.
Yes, they will make a lot of mistakes, but they are no longer boys, but men. That was CowLip's theme, after all -- boys into men.
I think about how the world has changed since 2000 when the show premiered -- and how it's changed since 2002 when I began writing. Brian & Justin have changed and they will change, but it's only time, right?
