You do a great job capturing Ted's voice, from beginning, to "Yes, thank you, Bri -- and fuck you," to the end.
Your descriptions of Brian are fantastic. "He's barefoot, wearing a pair of faded 501's, a white tee shirt, and a serious case of bedhead. In other words, he's his usual gorgeous self."
I love Justin perching on the arm of Brian's chair and Brian's teasing "blond bitch" and "listen and learn." But most of all LOVE that Brian wants Justin to know about his their finances now. And I love that Brian bought Babylon and the diner and financed Emmett's catering business and Ted's business. And that Brian is getting Ted laid. Ha!
The driver is holding a sign that says, "Theodore."
So many great lines in this chapter, but that one is possibly my favorite. I always loved the way Brian/Gale had that certain way of saying Ted's name, and when I read that line I could just hear him saying it in my head.
Glad to see Ted again, and in such a good place in his life (especially in that last scene). He's a favorite of mine. Good acknowledgment of his somewhat conflicted feelings on the subject of Brian.
Plus, Ramon! That took me back again to Radev and the Angel Stream. You know I love when you cross those streams :)
BTW, we were watching an episode of Justified last week that was directed by the one and only Tony Goldwyn! I thought of you and Ron immediately.
Funny chapter. I love the difference between Hilly and Ted. Glad Brian has decided to clue Justin in to the money situation. I have always been a Ted fan, love hearing his voice in the story. Look forward to the next chapter.
