The series is an institution there is NO WAY it can end now. I personally do not see a problem with posting it on LJ. You could post one page a week and I would be happy.
I've been reading since the summer of 02. I'm not ready for the story to end. If you need to move to lj, I say do it. There is probably someone who has the whole thing in a word.doc. Some of us are anal that way. Moonshadow Tribe is a more stable comm; it appears if you wanted to move again. I know you'll do the best you can. m :I
Apparently, I was just lucky. I found and read Queer Theories on your web site a few weeks ago. I had just started on Queer Identities when the site went down (a couple of days after I got to Korea). I only found your stories here on livejournal (which I'd never visited before) because I googled trying to find another way to read the rest of the Queer Identities chapters. I'll continue reading whatever you post here, but I was really hoping at some point there would be access to the rest of that story line so I could finish it, and read whatever else you had posted on that site. Thanks for sharing. I wish I had known about your writing years ago. I enjoy reading it, and will continue whatever length the chapters are, wherever you post them, if I can only find them with my limited web surfing skills. Kim
If you're keen to move ahead, I'd go with posting on LJ until you can have your other archive back. I would warn against adjusting the pace or form you have built in QI though, but perhaps consider using multiple entries for a single chapter if that is what it takes. (other authors do this, and it doesn't change the way it reads. It's kind of like turning a page)

When the site is working it's ideal for me.
That's when it's working.
I guess that's like saying, "When my husband is around, he's
perfect! Too bad I don't know where he is!"

One way is through the so-called "Wayback Machine" --
www.archive.org
Enter the URL of the missing site and see what comes up.
I haven't done this myself, but I'm told it can work.
It's worth a shot!
