zoo pictures

So, I uploaded a gazillion and one pictures the other day that had been sitting on my camera for months because I kept forgetting to, you know, upload. Among them were some really fantastic zoo pictures, and I've decided that while I'm watching the Cardinals embarrass the Vikings (like with that simply gorgeous sack they just pulled off - AND an ( Read more... )

Holy moly! How long did this take to post? Awesome pics though, I'll save them tomorrow. We need to go to the zoo soon.

A while. But I was watching the game anyway; might as well do something reasonably productive at the same time. There are more pics on my photobucket account if you want to snag any. And yes, we do. I need pics of Ivan and Gaia. <3

Heh. We haven't even had any snow yet. (Frost, a bit.) They keep predicting it, but nada so far.

It's been raining here all day; we're under a flash flood watch now. :P The Weather Channel tells me that it is indeed snowing in Flagstaff at the moment, though. Did you get any yet today? Isn't it a little odd to get into December without snow in Detroit? I am genuinely clueless on that front; I just would have expected some a little earlier that far north.

Well, we're not Antarctica or anything. So yeah, making it to December without snow isn't really a huge deal. The weather has been flirting with Serious Cold (below freezing) on and off since Thanksgiving.

...By the by, there was snow tonight, but I don't see it sticking to anything that's not metal. I'll have some nice frost on my car in the morning. :P

Everywhere is Antarctica to me. :P [/obligatory_desert_comment] Nah, I really don't think that, honest. I just always kind of assumed that someplace as far north as Detroit would be getting snow by mid-November or so.

It snows here every now and then. I think I've seen it snow in metro Phoenix maybe three times in the last sixteen years. It doesn't really stick, but it makes you question your sanity for a few minutes. And everyone stops whatever they're doing to come outside and take pictures.

I think I'll go google snow facts and averages and such. I'm all curious now.
