According to Mandy's backyard thermometer, it's 84 degrees (29 C) right now. Not that I'm complaining. O:-)

The online weather tells me we're at 40 degrees. Will we make good on tonight's freeze warning? Ah, the suspense.

Guys, it's nearly 90 degrees here (32 C) today. I don't want to complain, because this is my idea of nearly perfect weather, and it's sure better than snow. (I know, some people like snow. I don't.) You know you're a Phoenician when you're about to leave the house after sundown, check the temperature online, and upon seeing that it's only about 80 degrees, you seriously consider wearing a long-sleeved shirt. Brr. (No, I'm not kidding. This is seriously my level of cold tolerance. There's a reason I live in the middle of a desert.)

A good way to make my mother visibly question her parenting accomplishments: Pounce on a book called Terminate With Extreme Prejudice: An Exposé of the Assassination Game, Its Killers and Their Paymasters on the clearance shelves at Borders in front of her. My poor mother.

Huge storm coming in, absolutely huge.
