Jesus christ that shit's annoying. Even if you're straight there are "needs" your partner can't meet. No one is perfect, compromise and willingness to actively communication and work, blah blah blah.
1) Straight people don't think anything at all-- I look, style, dress, behave, and speak pretty heteronormatively (because my entire identity is not aberrant, yo, I'm a girly girl and my sexual orientation does not have pants to do with that), but once they know they're either a) pretty accepting because for some reason it's better than being a lesbian? or b) really confused, which even though it's annoying I honestly prefer, despite the questions I don't want to answer, because at least they're trying to get out of their comfort zone and understand me

I certainly agree about labels. I honestly consider myself more pansexual than bisexual just because I don't really buy the traditional binary gender system, but I think pansexual isn't a term most people know/understand. So, I just choose the simpler bisexual to alleviate headaches

I really think bisexual fits me better than pansexual... not because I think there's anything *wrong* with falling outside the two "traditional" types of gender identity, I've also never been attracted to one. I know trans people (including a pretty close ftm friend) and I don't find them repulsive or anything, so I don't think it's a prejudice problem, but... it's kind of like Asians. Nothing wrong with it, I'm not into it, yeah? I don't particularly like butch girls, either
