Okay... I've been going batty trying to figure out the word count for a drabble -- in PocketWord on the handheld AND in Word on the main computer, it kept saying it was 3 words more than a manual count came up with. 100 vs. 103

Well, that would dramatically raise my word count on anything I write -- I use dashes *all* the time. ;p

Me too! Now I'm looking at other fics and going O_O. I am NOT going back through the 2500-and-counting word fic for rare_heroes and taking out all the --'s so I can get an accurate count.
