Size queen

Yup, I'll admit it, I'm a size queen. I like 'em big - the bigger the better! And my husband knows this, so he rented me a huge one as a Christmas present, and it was incredible.

Thanks. We had a great time, and it was a good excuse to get outside and do stuff :)

we need more reasons to get outside. especially when it is cold out.

i love the way the water is captured in the second set of elephant seals.

The 600mm is an amazing, amazing lens. I've used it just once.

It costs as much as a cheap car, you need (really need) a monopod on the end of the lens just to support it, but the photos are mindblowingly amazing.

Most places won't even rent this lens without a serious credit check and approval process. Who'd you rent from?

Yeah, virtually all of our photos were taken with a monopod or tripod. That lens is heavy!

We rented from BorrowLenses.com. They normally rent by mail, but since they're in San Mateo it was easy just to swing by and pick it up. They only required credit card info - no other approval process necessary.

(We were going to rent from Calumet but their rental process is a joke. Don't bother.)
