I'm glad ZZ top won your unofficial rock-off.

In response to your comment that they never managed to progress from the head nodding vibe to fist pumping rock face movement, i think that may be a deliberate choice on ZZ tops part. If people start really moving around, its almost certain that someone will get their beard caught on something.

I think ZZ top is meant to be more driving your cadillac down a longass stretch of road type of thing.

This was such an excellent read. The only thing i like about KISS is the movie Detroit Rock City, which might not be very good (it is sometimes hard to tell) but I still enjoy from time to time.

i suspect that there are perhaps a couple of gems littered throughout the back catalogues of each of these bands, but that they may also only be attained through subjecting yourself to dangerously high levels of comparitively bad music. for example, as much as i love the song 'baracuda' by heart, i do not wish to hear any of their other songs because i know i would be wading through a quagmire of shit with the very strong posibility of not finding any nuggets of hope.

I would like to point out that, at certain times, in certain places, perhaps an inspirational jog or bikeride over a bridge at sunset, there is something extremely enjoyable about listening to 'these dreams' by heart. However having listened briefly to the rest of their greatest hits, your overall quagmire of shit sentiment is absolutely correct

Also oz please continue posting. I check back every month or two just in case and i feel rewarded by this post
