I have seen numerous posts about the CCF icons made yesterday.  I wasn't going to go there and respond, but I changed my mind.  This is what I wrote to the creator of the icons:

Thanks, hun! I try to stay out of shipper stuff, but I think it is getting a little out of hands. Both parties are guilty and we all need to do our part tp make it right. The fact that 9 is supposed to be the last season, makes it that much more important. We don't really want to go out like this, do we?

Here's my two cents. I have Cloisers on my Flist who I adore. I have never and will never Clois. I don't like the ship and I'm not a fan of Lois. I have nothing against ED.

I will never ever associate with the people who thought the comparison to the KKK was OK. Bash Chloe all you want (some of the icons were witty). Hell, bash AM if you want. I won't like it but she's a public figure. Don't compare us to the fricking KKK. Sorry to be a pain but it's just how I feel.

I, too have Cloisers on my flist that I love to pieces. Like you, I will never ship Clois. I just don't feel it like I feel Chlark.

I'm trying to extend an olive branch. We can't make peace if we can't be friends. Everyone makes mistakes. I need a job on Obama's cabinet, for sure.

It would be nice if people would remember that this is a show and this is fandom and it's supposed to be fun. (Hence my post early today wanting people to remember what they love.)

I think the best option is to agree to disagree. Chlarkers aren't going to like Clois and Cloisers aren't going to like Chlark. But that doesn't mean we have to be bitches and spew hate about the other side.

I, like you, have friends who ship Clois. I have friends who love season 8 while I have pretty much hated it. I comment faithfully to tariel22's review and we never agree but we're friends anyways and we respect the other's opinion. That's key.
