Is it sugar-as-in-refined-sugar, or anything with sucrose or fructose that's banned? Can you use honey or agave syrup?
I've really been enjoying greek yogurt with nuts and some honey drizzled on--I've been trying to increase my calcium and protein intake.

The doctor suggested minimizing dairy because it can have the effect of increasing mucous secretion, and I had some kind of persistent bronchitis or something that wouldn't go away.
No sugar was for another problem that wasn't responding to standard medication. If I'm still ok in a few weeks, I'll maybe start adding it back...

- coconut flakes
-berries
-sliced bananas
-cubed peaches, apples, plums, whatever is in season
- even switch between regular milk, soy milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.
