But hot cereal with fruit doesn't, so here's notes on my best hot cereal attempt, which ( Read more... )

So the yogurt's ok?

Is it sugar-as-in-refined-sugar, or anything with sucrose or fructose that's banned? Can you use honey or agave syrup?

I've really been enjoying greek yogurt with nuts and some honey drizzled on--I've been trying to increase my calcium and protein intake.

Yogurt was ok in small doses--that or kefir. But now that my lungs seem to be back in order, I'm clear on the dairy. Still waiting to see what happens with the /other/ problem. Off medication now, waiting to see what happens before returning to normal eating habits. :p

Oh, and for your other question -- refined sugar was banned, other sugars to be reduced inasmuch as practical.

No sugar? minimal dairy? Cookie Girl can't have cookies? Has to minimize yogurt?

Are you okay? Whyfor did the doctor do such a thing?

Lol, yes, Cookie Girl can't have cookies, and the minimize yogurt part was indeed sad.

The doctor suggested minimizing dairy because it can have the effect of increasing mucous secretion, and I had some kind of persistent bronchitis or something that wouldn't go away.

No sugar was for another problem that wasn't responding to standard medication. If I'm still ok in a few weeks, I'll maybe start adding it back...

Yea I only eat two cereal cold. Rice krispies and cheerios. But I switch the topping and stuff.
- coconut flakes
-berries
-sliced bananas
-cubed peaches, apples, plums, whatever is in season
- even switch between regular milk, soy milk, almond milk, and coconut milk.
