DAHAHAHA really? I thought fandom_counts was pretty fun, actually, but then I'm a tard who loves watching numbers climb regardless of everything else. >>;;

Jeeze, bb, you've been busy. I voted the first day polls came out and with no prior knowledge of the contestants and I'm sticking by that choice. I kind of don't want to vote for someone who is just running "for fandom" because it seems like a very narrow-minded and antagonistic view to take. But then it's true that my needs will be most likely met by someone coming from fandom. My first choice was daniidebrabant and then rm and then jameth. I like to go with my first instinct.

TOO MUCH DRAHMA.

HAHAHA. I didn't really hear anything about it until today, actually. I blame RPG. XDDD And I agree that 'for fandom' is probably not the best platform, but neither is 'antifandom', which is what jameth's support base, at least, and him tacitly, seem to be going for. IDK. I'LL JUST GO WITH WHAT MY FANDOM SENSE SAYS IS BEST. /this is gud idea, yiss

INORITE. It's kind of hilarious since all that's going to happen is "IRL MEETINGS! ZOMG!" and there isn't any guarantee that anything's going to get done ANYWAY. BAH.

I saw the official post before any kind of fandom wank, and I meant to post about it but then didn't. I guess it's too late now if anyone forgot to vote. :/

As if people in meetings ever actually DO anything. XD;

LOL basically LJ is making a show of 'actually listening to its userbase for once'!

I think it's probably just a cleverly worded ploy to make us think they give a shit. :| Can't hurt to vote, though.

GOING GOING GOING

*pats* It makes for amusing drama? Frankly, I figure it can't hurt to vote. Doesn't hurt/help us if things fall through, anyway.

I have ABSOLUTELY NO CLUE, but it's useful. :E I'm guessing that it means we can't see who voted, or something.

That's a very good point. 8|| I've been seeing it on fandom newsletters now thanks to bookshop's campaign, but I love that LJ basically hasn't really put this out there when it's supposed to be BY THE USERS, FOR THE USERS and all that shiz.

Hell yes. Still, I spent a bit lol'ing over all the srs bsns and the bitchery in the election post, so. XD HEY, AT LEAST IT MAKES FOR AN HOUR'S ENTERTAINMENT or smth. ♥

1. Don't they do that for official elections, too? 'SUCH AND SUCH CANDIDATE IS PULLING AHEAD BY THIS MUCH %, ETC.'
2. Possibly because this is supposed to be a user-based decision. On the other hand, they should've still provided some way for the candidates to reach their electorate, rofl.

There's quite a lot of wankery, I guess I just like trainwrecks. XDD And I agree that LJ's probably just doing it for the image or something. Bah. It's still epic or something. |D
