Nice post. As usual, though, I chose to vote for the candidate who is the best possible choice but who is also most likely to actually win, a tactic also known as 'sheeping'. Even after sifting through all these confusing posts and announcements and comment threads, I still don't have a crystal clear idea of how any of this is going to be very helpful, however.

Aaahahaha. LJ, we know drama. I can't say I care about all of this, though. LJ isn't going to listen to its userbase at ALL even if they claim they will. They haven't yet, what makes me think they will NOW? I'll it believe when I see it.

I completely agree with you--this just sounds like a lot more posturing bullshit to me, especially since there's absolutely no guarantee of any kind that the board will be able to effect any kind of change at all. It's just an 'advisory board' that can 'publish dissenting papers' in case LJ doesn't listen to it. That's it. ... Yeah. :/ Like I've been saying, though, can't hurt to vote in any case.

Me too!! :O I saw the Jing and Kir reservation and was surprised. I didn't think anyone else RPed them, haha. XD If the two are actually applied, I might go through with applying Stir. But I dunno yet, still debating on that. Definitely applying Lumiére though. ♥
