Last night was one of the better ones I've ever experienced. Long Walks and New Shinies
Every sunday morning, I find myself stuck behind the front desk of the JCC for three and a half hours. There's not much to do, especially since I can't read my book, and, being as I'm on a work computer, most of my usual time-wasting internet sites are blocked or banned. Still Moving
Have officially vacated old place and taken up residance in new. haven't slept much. hurting in places that usually hurt (back, shoulders, head) and places that dont usually hurt (forearms, knees, jaw). Moving Day
Its finally here! I'm excited, but mostly I'm a bundle of nerves Despite being irrisponsible and blowing off packing yesterday, everything is pretty much ready to go. We'll have about 24 hours to get it all unpacked, and then its back to the working too much (but hopefully making the moneys) again. Productive Day
I has a new bed! And I got it almost for free. I mentioned to Wendy, my wonderful boss of amazing at the J, that I needed a new bed, since I've been sleeping on a lumpy futon since September, and she put me in touch with a friend of hers who just happened to have a full sized bed that she wanted to get rid of. Robin Wood
I just found out that one of my high school teachers, Robin Wood, died recently. Unlike some, I had an absolutely wonderful time in high school, and Robin was one of my favorite teachers. I wasn't especially close to her, but she was one of the most colorful and vivid people I've known, as well as an amazing educator and innovater. I remember she ( Read more... )
