very scary dream

it involved a sphinx, in several different incarnations. In the first, it was just a scary monster that lived in the dark recesses of a cave. I was a companion to a wizard who could enter the minds of animals. We had to go exploring the cave. the sphinx ate the pig that the wizard was "embodying" (the only word that comes to mind). I barely escaped
