I had a racoon as a pet, as a child. I know, really weird. My brother was a hunter and inadvertanetly killed its Mom. So he brought the baby home and we raised it. It mostly stayed outside, but came in the house occasionally. It was pretty damn adorable and lots of fun. Yes, they dip their food in liquid before every bite. One of the cute things to watch. Had it for about 3 years until one day it just didn't come back from a foray into the woods. :( We lived in CT at the time. Had a pet crow too, but that's another story. ;D
