Ah, it's come round once again. That special time of year when the varied and diverse countries of Europe can come together to collectively hate England:

TERRY WOGAN ROCKS MY SOCKS. Seriously, Eurovision would just be SO PAINFUL if he wasn't voice-overing everything. And I love that he got banned from a country a few years ago for insulting their hosts (he called them "The Tooth Fairy and Dr. Evil"). THe man just makes me laugh.

But, yes, it's so political now. Lol. My dad gets so frustrated, bless him.

It was so obvious Finland were going to win :D

GOOD LUCK IN YOUR EXAMS!! Mine start on Tuesday. Eep!

Really? Banned you say? XDXD Dahahah. That's class. I just loved him taking the piss out of the people announcing the voting results. Especially the drunk guy from Norway or wherever.

It is political. But then they are all crap. And we were crap. Terribly embarrassing. Though at least we didn't get nul points although neither did France and I really wanted them to.

Finland rocked!! How hysterical was it when he collected his flowers though. Bit mismatched ^^

Thank you~ T^T and good luck in yours too~!

nowadays i feel like all i do is take exams... stupid british school system ::kicks::

Oh, France were AWFUL. I was watching a film when it started and by the time I finished that, France were playing. So I missed most of the songs. But I saw everyone in the clip at the end and O_O I am suitably disturbed.

Loved it when Terry said "Who hired this egit?" I think that was Norway guy...heh.

Oh, I know the feeling. Bleurgh. Hate revision also. I keep thinking "Right! I will continue with revision at 6!" ... "Maybe 6:30" ... "Oh, I'll just wait until I've had dinner" ...

I was meant to reread an English text minus two hours ago. Whoops.

Oh, France were AWFUL.
I know. Jesus Christ. My poor poor ears. I had to turn the volume down.

Wogan so treats that thing like it should be treated. And his mockery of the guy from Poland: "Wow, that's a fun guy..." Bitchin'. XDXD

I'm just reading and rereading my sequences chapter. Don't know what it is about maths - graph functions, differentiation, trig, integration, trapezium rule, even logarithms are ok... but give me a sequence and I suddenly turn into the brainless wonder. Ah well. Fingers crossed there's no sequence question... 0____0

::has a 3 hour maths exam tomorrow:: T^T

Good luck with the English text... ::still has 3 to read and 1 to learn quotes from for no-book paper...::

I don't belive it!!!

After YEARS of humiliation, being a general laughing stock and wondering how low a score we're going to get THIS time, we FINALLY WON!!! XD It's... It's... And we made a record with the points we got!! YAY for this sweet national feeling!! LOl..

(Well, I wasn't there singing, so it was actually the band tat won, but.. *cough* WE WILL NOT DWELL ON THESE MEANINGLESS INSIGNIFFICANT DETAILS!!)

And hopefully no-one will show any interviews from the streets of Finland around because it was painfull enough watching the news... ^^' WEll, I guess we gotta make arses of ourselves somehow. Lol...

..And you know where I was when we won? Why, I was sleeping. I mean, we managed to get to the second round, and I seriously thought that that's as high as we'll go. LOL!!

Anyway. Congrats to the band!! And thank you!! Lol... :D

Haha that's ok ^^

Ah, of course, temporary memory lapse - I forgot you're from Finland XD

d(^^)b Congrats~! That song was so the best, all the rest were rubbish. I was so embarrassed by ours. For a country which emitted the Beatles, Muse and Franz Ferdinand, the UK sure does have some terrible entries.

Though as I said, at least we seem to have gained some favour in Europe... Maybe we're not quite as hated as we once were...

OMG, and I MISSED your number!! XD XD XD I could've treated you so wrong, and tormented you about it like the vindictive little Finnish-Person that I am... XD

But you guys always win, don't you? Or was Ireland? Some English-speaking country anyway. Every fucking year. (sorrysorry) XD

...*fluffs up hair* You forgot I was from Finland and remembered that I was an ENGLISH girl, didn't you? And all because of my amazing Engslish skills, wasn't it? Wasn't it? Didn't you?? Huh?? Huh??? ;D

Heeeey!! What about Norway? We had a blond woman ^_^

Heh, actually, don't say anything. We were terrible too. But for serious, what about those guys who were singing about how they were the winners of Eurovision? Oh Lord, the song... the dance... the general way they acted on stage... oh, my poor eyes, ears and heart. It just hurt!

And good luck with your exams!

Mmm, I know ^^ That made me happy... ::ahem::

But yes, I was very disappointed with Sweden. Bad song and bad singer. Dear me.

I actually thought you were pretty good comparatively, which isn't saying much, but there we go. A damn sight better than ours at any rate. I wanted Norway or Finland to win ^^ but I'm glad Finland won overall just because it made such a mockery of the whole mood of the competition.

The Lithuanian one, I think that was. I know. What a... performance. I think they probably forgot to write a song and suddenly realised when they were backstage...

Thank you~! T^T

Aaw, that's nice of you :) I'm glad Finland won too, for the same reasons.

Probably. Wouldn't be very surprising in any case!

Yep, Moldova's apparently both exists and is in Europe. Though you know, countries outside of Europe can enter Eurovision, confusingly enough. Morocco's been in it before now.

WTF? Nguh.

I don't understand this competition.

Also, wtf with every singer/dancer looking British/American. 'Cos true to God none of the Eastern European entrants looked in any way Slavic...

I know. All the bands are so generic. They're like clones of each other.

Finland was teh rawk. Hopefully next year will be a death-metal fest XDXD

we have good music, just bad taste when it comes to Eurovision
= exactly the same in England. Why do our countries do that? wtf. It was just the German contact reporting the poll votes from on top of a horse. That was really something else... 0___0

But the English entry was terrible in its own right. It was like: "This is what Britain is! A load of slutty school girls wearing short skirts dancing with middle aged men and singing in terribly chavvy accents." How shaming.

And I know. The singing in English annoyed me and I am English. I think there should be a rule that they should sing in their own language. For a start it's way nicer. And it avoids some countries completely mispronouncing English in a humorous fashion.

The only reason why I still bother watching is "Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia" pronounced with a weird accent. What a great name for a country.I did like that ( ... )
