One final post for the night, because I know you all care deeply about my Pokemon: through some strange turn of events, they all ended up being named after the female cast of Heroes. Maya the (now quite awesome) Gyrados, Monica the (still awesome)...uh, flaming monkey fighter thing, I don't know the name because it's a new species to me, Elle the ( ( Read more... )

Oh, I name Pokemon after characters, too. Although my sister is the one who plays the most so we pick the names together - we actually pick them before we even start the new game, so every character name goes to the right Pokemon. Yes, we are that sad.

Oh, I had plans, too. I figured "well, if I get a fire-type, it'll be Ted...psychic, Matt...flying, Peter...grass, Claire..." But at that point I sort of ran out of names, and I didn't account for genders, which is why I started scrambling for matches and ended up with Candice the Golduck. I suppose there are worse things. (In the PC, I've got a Chansey named Sandra. Didn't especially need one, but the Oh My God It's A Chansey GRAB IT BEFORE IT GOES AWAY urge was beat into me since my Pokemon Blue days, so when it popped up I had to get it. And then I decided Sandra would be the only good name for it.)

A CHANSEY! I know what you mean. Pokemon Blue was my very first Pokemon game. Sandra sort of fits, mhm. (Now I kinda want to try this Pokemon on the PC thing. I only play it on my good old Game Boy color.)

...you know, it occurs to me that this is a post I could have titled, quite unironically, MY POKEMANS, LET ME SHOW YOU THEM.

XD

I refer to Roselia-Claire as Claire-bear in my head sometimes. Particularly when I'm yelling at her to snap out of confusion. Occasionally, it even works!

So, I was reading your journal because you write some pretty cool fic, and I came across this and DIED. Because I just named my Roselia Claire too. 2 drain moves + shell bell = invincibility, for real.

I can't believe there's someone else out there who has named Pokemon after Heroes characters. Win.

What's her other drain move? I took Absorb off to make room for Mega Drain--Absorb's pretty damn weak, after all.

(Oh my god, I'm talking Pokemon to someone. This is not something that happens.)

Absorb, Mega Drain, and Giga Drain. Get rid of absorb when you can learn Giga Drain, it is very awesome at like 60 power. Also, I cannot read.

I just got Diamond for Christmas, so most of my Pokemon talk lately has been where do I go now? and OMG WHAT IS THIS UNDERGROUND STUFF THIS IS AWESOME. Now, talking Pokemon and Heroes at once, that is the stuff strangeness is made of.

Is okay! I understood what you meant. And man, Giga Drain, I forgot all about Giga Drain...too bad it's only got, what, 5 PP? Life is unfair.

The Underground stuff is...perplexing. I keep getting lost, and I don't think it likes me.
