“Hey,” Rose asked, some time after they’d returned from the glittering, infinite libraries of Enebe, “you know pretty much everything about the universe, right?”
“Not everything,” the Doctor said, affronted. “You can’t know everything, you’d go mad. I knew a fellow who tried to learn everything there was, and his head just popped right off.”
“You’re making that up,” Rose said scornfully.
“Cross my heart and swear to die. Anyway, no, don’t know everything, don’t want to know everything. Be a bit boring, knowing everything. There’d never be anything else to do.”
“But you know a lot, though,” Rose persisted. “You know stuff about every single planet we go to and you definitely know stuff about human history that wasn’t in the textbooks.”
“Did I ever tell you about the time I met Louis XIV? No, wait, you probably don’t want to know.”
“That’s my point, though! You know so much, and not just about humans. You could go anywhere in the universe, and we do, yeah, but we always end up coming back to Earth. What d’ye always want to hang

Thanks! :D Clearly, never having written Rose before is no match for having seen the first season four times. And, man, I knew I'd mess up on the British somewhere or another. *goes to edit that*
Honestly, I think just watching the episodes is the way to go, every time. You get a handle on who talks how. That's all I did to write Thompson ... *twitches*

(one very minor nitpick: in the UK, it's always cross my heart and hope to die, but otherwise, this is perfect :)
