I just moved here. I live on campus at The University of Houston. Technically the campus is located in a neighborhood of Houston known as The 3rd Ward, which is pretty rundown and dangerous. However, I feel like the University is a seperate entity from the 3rd ward. Would you consider a college campus a seperate neighborhood if the above critera can be answered?

i followed you home after your post on peak_oil. and i think you have some great ideas here. i've friended you, if you don't mind. no need to reciprocate, unless you just want to - I don't talk so much about large ideas in my LJ anymore, so it might not be as interesting :-/

Any time. I read you stuff on my blackberry in the morning on the bus and train and bus to work. I'm moving to NYC, I wonder if I'll miss my long trans-suburban commute and the detailed attention to reading it provides the space for.
