Oh dear, I appear to have graduated. In fact, from the paper trail, it looks like I did it fifteen years ago, which would restore Aydin's record to him....
When I was in university, there was a guy named Aydin Edguer who worked in the CS department. He was a perpetual senior, who kept avoiding graduating.
I was also in the five-year BS/MS program... which got, um, rather far extended after my advisor was denied tenure. But Canada needed me to have a degree to stay in the country, so I finally got the BS part signed off on... and I finished up the BS stuff back in 1992.
That hasn't stopped me from having a successful career in the mean time, mind you... and the MS is still a mess that I need to clean up at some point.
