I may regret this tomorrow, but I love this today.

Not having to buy Christmas presents for anybody + Payday = buying myself presents.

I couldn't resist buying the entire Friends DVD Box Set for $99.99 at Amazon. That box set has cost over 200 bucks for the last five years so I couldn't let it slip through my hands. Especially since earlier this year, I re-watched the entire series beginning to ( Read more... )

No regrets, I say! Just look at how thrifty you were! ;)

Can't WAIT to see FNL. I spoiled myself rotten and am already preparing for the insane wave of Matt/Zach love I will experience upon viewing. I love him to bursting point already; how I can take more?! Literally, the moment he had those two sandwiches for Lorraine in the pilot and said in her response to her concern about them that he'd eat one when he got home from practice? Yup, totally fell in love with him right there. *sigh*

Happy Friday back to you!

I read a review of the episode that put it perfectly:

Every character on "Friday Night Lights" gets a raw deal in some ways - this very episode reminds us of that with the stories about Vince and Becky and Luke - but Matt Saracen has consistently been the universe's punching bag, in part because the writers recognize how well Gilford plays Matt's pain and confusion every time life comes in to mock him again.

Even when he lashes out, you KNOW he doesn't mean it maliciously. So even then, you just want to hug him for eternity. Poor kid. Such a wonderful character, brought to life by such a wonderful actor.

I actually think Modern Family is the better show, it's a lot funnier in the more classic sitcom-y way, but is dark enough in its humor that it's pretty cutting edge in what it seems to get away with. I do think you'd like it if you gave it another shot.

Community took a few episodes to find its footing, but I saw the raw potential in the pilot and I'm really glad I stuck with it. It's just a joy to watch every week.

Thank you for reminding me I must watch the Office.

Dude, I so loved the Vampire Diaries, I ran out and got the books. The series is MUCH better than the books, so rare a thing to say!

I think the show hit the jackpot with Ian Somerholder and Paul Wesley, they're great in their roles, and I'm curious to see where things go from here. I have one more episode until I'm totally caught up. All I know right now is that I'm SO glad Vicky's dead. I hated her.

Amusingly, my mixed fandom mood theme is Matt Saracen for satisfied, so it looked very appropriate on my flist. :)
