= First of all, all my thoughts go to anyone and everyone who've been touched by the Tennessee disaster. Last I heard it was 18 fatalities. Heartbreaking

This is totally how I feel too. Barack is the first candidate since I started voting in 1998 that makes me excited, that really truly gives me hope, that makes me want to get out there and volunteer and actually do something. It's a great feeling.
That Colbert/Stewart/O'Brian fued thing had me rolling yesterday. I'm not a regular watcher of any of their shows, but those are some hilarious guys.
I love, love, love Stardust. It really does have a kind of Princess Bride feel about it. I've watched it more than a few times since I got it on DVD. And that review really makes me want to see Lars and the Real Girl. I've heard good things about it, so I'm thinking I definitely am going to check it out now.
Oh please do see Lars and the Real Girl! And then tell me what you think! I can't recommend it enough.
And I couldn't agree more about Barack. He instills something in me that I haven't felt in a long time, and I think we all need that right now. I'll be so interested to see how things go down from now to November. Such an exciting time!
Politics is so interesting because what some people see in one candidate is directly opposite of what other people see. It intrigues me for some reason how the perception of things can vary so much between people. I love it

That is the wonderful thing about politics, and about life in general, that we all see things with our own perspective. As I just mentioned below, no matter who people are supporting, I'm really glad that the Democratic race has brought out the voters this year. I think that's incredibly important.
And CA only turned Democratic recently, around 1994, so not that long. Before that it was pretty Republican. And having elected a Republican Governor, nothing's ever assured. Again, it'll be interesting to see how CA turns out.
With Mitney out and Huckabee with no shot, McCain's gonna be it. He's a strange one to pin down. He's quite moderate for Republicans, yet I can't support some of his stances on some of the issues. But, of the 3 that were left, he would've been the one I preferred. Which isn't saying much. lol
