After doing some research I have a bit more understanding of how to cast solid colored latex and silicone, but how would I achieve a gradient of two or more colors?  I'm going to be casting a silicone tongue for my garter snake character, and I want it to have a nice, smooth gradient from red to black:

I recently saw this showing off how to use a metal screen to do airbrushing to keep the fur in place, I took it a step further and made a flexible stencil out of Foamies and a light bendable plastic screen rather than a metal screen. I made one side of the pattern on paper and folded/traced it to get the opposite side, then I traced it onto Foamies ( Read more... )

Looked around and I don't see any specific information on using Sharpie brand paint pens (water based) as a dry brushing tool. I used some on a bit of scrap fur last night and it looks fine but I decided to double check here before I start going wild on this actual head. So, my friend was wondering if fabric paint works on fur. Her character has a rainbow colored tail, and she REALLY doesn't want to buy every single fur color, so she asked if fabric paint would work on fur?
