so, the problem is. i have big plans for a fursuit of kinda unusual character /i posted about this before/, but... no idea how to make the headbase. it needs to be form-fitting so the head'll be small /he's a bit more humanized and has realistic body proportions/, and a moving jaw is a must, so foam isn't an option (also because i suck at shaping

Maybe, if you can't find any other options you could use a balaclava base? They seem to be pretty form fitting

If it's not something you're making to sell, this could be an option! Might wanna do a fleece layer to cover the holes, or maybe not, I don't have experience working with this model (although I hope I will soon!)

If money is truly an issue with resin, consider that other methods cost money too. If those methods fail, you've wasted money. Time is money too. Although ventilation is a big issue, definitely take that precaution.

It uses silicone caulking and cornstarch, then you just need a mothermold over top which can be made out of pretty inexpensive things too.
