It was late, ridiculously late in the day, by the time Jono's portal dropped him off in Sidra again. He'd paid extra for a trip with no stopovers, because odds were high that he'd just blow up anything along the way that got between him and a bed, at this point. He'd been up for going on three days by the time he'd finished navigating the portals,

And speaking of different rhythms, it was difficult to miss that somebody nearby was walking - clomping, really - rather unsteadily. And - hm. He checked his watch, still set to Fandom time. Jono was due in this evening, wasn't he?
He set aside his book and went to open the door. If Jono were injured, ill, or exhausted, he doubted he'd want to be found by someone who'd fuss. And Hannibal did feel a bit obligated, after the other evening.

Exhausted, on the other hand...
He didn't so much as turn around to face Hannibal as he opened his door, no. He had very important standing-with-his-face-against-a-wall to do, here.
//Nothing t'see here,// he muttered, too tired to really check who it was behind him. //New lighting fixture, is all. Fancy wall sconce. Move along...//

He gave his head a little shake.
//I don't even know where I'm going with that. It's been a while since I've slept.//

"Jono? Are you awake?" she called, hopefully not loudly enough to disturb him if he was asleep.

That was a yes, by the way. And Jono was even pulling himself up to sit again, because it wasn't like he was going to be able to rest well any time soon anyway.
//C'mon in, luv. Might as well.//
Or she'd be up worrying all night.
... They'd met.

Raven slipped inside his room. "I am sorry to disturb you," she said, "but it is obvious something troubling has happened, and I wanted to see you with my own eyes."

//S'been a long weekend,// he shared. //One of my employees went on a rescue mission to get a member of her family to safety. I went along to perform some damage control. Rapture might go down in history as the one hellhole on Earth with the most misleading name... pretty much ever.//

Especially since she didn't have to to communicate with Jono.
Instead, she sent out the tiniest of psychic tendrils, using none of her Jeweled strength, like a soft tap on the shoulder, rather than the usual knock. And then she waited. Jono's brain could come to her, tonight.

//H'lo, luv.//
Yeah, he'd do the heavy lifting. His voice was faint, exhaustion getting the better of him, but intelligible, at least.

Not exactly a psychic thread right now, more just directed thoughts that Jono would be able to pick up. She wasn't entirely sure she could use the threads without pain and she didn't exactly want to experiment and find out.
Where the Hell did you go, anyway? He'd told her he was shepherding a group of students to somewhere dangerous, but hadn't really shared many details. You remember back when we were the idiot students rushing off into danger and Anakin was playing escort to try to keep us all alive?
She was almost nostalgic for those days. Probably hormones.

He paused a moment, and then ventured, a little more tentatively, //I think you've heard of where I went. I think you might be displeased with me if I tell you.//
Which was exactly why he'd been vague before leaving, yes.
