It was late, ridiculously late in the day, by the time Jono's portal dropped him off in Sidra again. He'd paid extra for a trip with no stopovers, because odds were high that he'd just blow up anything along the way that got between him and a bed, at this point. He'd been up for going on three days by the time he'd finished navigating the portals, and exhaustion was the least of his worries, it seemed.
There was no small amount of heartbreak.
Guilt, on the other hand... He had less guilt than he thought maybe he should, and he was more bothered by the fact that he wasn't guilty enough than by the things that he'd done that generally deserved it.
His trek down the hall toward his room wasn't so much a walk as a stagger, and he didn't so much as look up to acknowledge the estate staff that attempted to greet him as he walked. He'd apologize for that later, if he could remember who he was brushing off, but for the time being...
For the time being, he was going to lean against the door to his room from the outside for a minute, until he could work up the get up and go to work the doorknob. Whoever had invented doorknobs to require effort really needed to be written a stern letter.
[OOC: For anyone in Glacia who wants to catch Jono before he falls into his room. Or after it, if you'd rather. NFB for istance, obvs!]
