I can go to sleep now because I won't see anything more adorable than that kitten and dog!

I do not understand Russian, like, at all -- but I always like the way it looks! "ж" is my favorite.

ж also has no English equivalent! It's usually romanised as "zh" but I can't describe how to pronounce it. These guys tried, though, and you can hear how the letter pronunciation sounds here.

It sounds a lot like the French "J" in words like "jardin" to me. It's more subtle than the English equiv of "J" words like "jam." Or, at least that's how it works in my head. One day I'll try to learn some Russian, but it seems really scary, tbh.

Gah, now I will be trying to remember for days what was the Russian word I learned for daddy-long-legs (it wasn't Косиножка, but there might've been something hay related in there...Gah!)

Паук-сенокос? That's the semi-official name for 'em, AFAIK. :D

That might be it... I was expecting it to feel like a bolt from the blue when I heard/remembered the right word, and "Паук-сенокос" isn't striking me quite that strongly... but I think the last time I heard those words in Russian was 20 years ago, so I might be expecting too much :P
